When a kind person let the kitten into the house, the kitten got excited about what was to come and started “barking” for affection.

Laila D’Souza was about to take a break from her animal rescue work when she received a message saying a tiny four-week-old kitten needed help.
A resident found the kitten standing alone outside an apartment building. Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had been abandoned by a neighbor who no longer needed him. Laila couldn’t bear to leave the kitten alone to fend for herself, so she took the kitten into her care.
“He was screaming frantically and then when he knew it was safe he just kept purring,” Laila told Love Meow.

On the drive to his foster home, Toby (the kitten) never had a quiet moment and kept screaming loudly from the truck bed. However, his attitude quickly changed as soon as Lyra brought him to a new room with everything he needed to feel at home.
After exploring his new digs, Toby made a beeline for his adoptive mother, revving his engine at high speed.

Lyra began treating Toby for the stomach problems that were bothering him. It was hard to tell under his fluffy fur, but he was underweight. With medication, he regained his appetite and strength and ate voraciously to replace his lost diet.
Toby gained much-needed weight and was finally on the road to recovery.

It didn’t take long for his personality to shine through. Living alone outside, he longed for the closeness of his companions and was determined never to be alone again. “He loves attention.”
“Now every time he sees me from a distance, he starts purring. He’s a very affectionate and playful kitten.”

Already a love bug, Toby likes to put his foot on Lyra’s leg and stare at her wide-eyed and wondering. He watches and listens, never letting up, making sure Lyra doesn’t go anywhere.
He is always up for everything and never complains when his adoptive mother gives him extra care.

For the first two weeks, Lyla gave Toby lots of attention and reassured him that he was loved. He is now feeling much better and his friendly canine companions are looking forward to meeting him. “I’m really looking forward to introducing him to my dog, Leya.”
Toby clings to his adoptive mother and eventually falls asleep with his feet in her lap.

Toby may be small, but he has a big voice and he’s not afraid to use it. He always yells when Lyra enters the room, demanding immediate attention. With his expressive personality, he looks like a bit of an anime character.
Even as it cries out for its adoptive mother, the rumbling sound of the motor does not stop.

Toby has a lot to say.
After more than two weeks of careful care, Toby’s stomach problems subsided. His health is restored and his energy levels are skyrocketing. Although he is still a small boy, he has the spirit of a lion.

Thanks to a timely rescue, Toby found a second chance at life. Now he enjoys endless food, soft blankets to snuggle up to, and a warm lap to curl up on.
