They showed up at his door with a kitten, desperate to help him, and overnight the kitten came back to life.

A week ago, two young people showed up at the front door of PuppyKittyNYCity (an animal shelter) holding a tiny dead kitten and asking for help.
The kitten was so weak he couldn’t lift his head and was dehydrated and malnourished and in urgent need of medical attention, so the finders took the defenseless kitten to a rescue that night in the hope that they might still be able to save him.
Rescue director Megan and her team took one look at the kitten and immediately took it home, then rushed it to the vets.

The kitten, named Inkee, was lying on the blanket, listless and exhausted, even trying to wake up by clutching on to it.
Despite all the uncertainty, they were determined to give Inkie a fighting chance, and shortly after arriving at the hospital, Inkie was admitted for treatment and around-the-clock care from the veterinary staff.

When they went to visit him again the next day, they were greeted by a rejuvenated “mini-panther.” To their surprise, the kitten had plenty to talk about.
Inkee recovered overnight and regained his voice. He meowed loud and clear throughout the exam while the examiner checked his temperature, breathing, eyes, and ears. His lungs were impressive, despite his small size.

While examining the kitten, they noticed the kitten’s unsteady gait and slight tremors, leading them to suspect mild cerebellar hypoplasia, which may subside over time as the kitten gets nourished and regains its health.
Inkee continued yelling at the top of his lungs until he was cradled in the little human’s arms.

Being a little wobbly doesn’t seem to slow Inky down, especially when it comes to mealtimes.
Inky is hand-raised around the clock by his devoted owners and loves to be pampered – his appetite is so great he’s already got a bloated belly, which he proudly shows off every time he’s fed.

He yells for attention with a strong voice and stares at his owner with his baby blue eyes. He seems to know how to work his charm and has his owner wrapped around him in his little paws.
In just a few days, Inky has gained weight and regained his joy of life, enjoying belly rubs, play and working on his balance and coordination.
He has a lot to sayPuppy Kitty NYC
Just a week ago, Inkee had shown up at their doorstep looking low and no one was sure he’d make it through the night. Now he’s eating like a king, perfecting his walk, and channeling his inner panther.
“He’s a strong boy with a lot of fighting spirit,” Megan told Love Meow.

His favorite thing in the world is eating with his caregivers, during which he enters a concentrated trance state, subtly moving his ears as he savors his food.
After he’s had his fill, he collapses onto his belly and claws happily at the air.

After a difficult start, Inky has made an amazing recovery and is now full of joy, energy and playfulness.
