As you all know, we Cat Writers Association (At least that’s what my pet owner thinks.) And you may or may not know that this organization has been around since 1992. They hold a contest every year where their professional members judge the best submissions from the past year. This is not a popularity contest; submissions are judged on merit alone.
The submissions that receive the highest scores are awarded an Award of Excellence and the submission with the highest score among the finalists is awarded a Muse Medallion. I am thrilled to have received five awards across four categories.
I have obtained the following two certificates in the Written/Health category.

What are freckles on cats’ eyes? What you need to know about melanosis
It was actually kind of nice to be recognized for these topics, because health topics aren’t my specialty and I don’t usually cover them, and they happen to be topics that my pet owners are interested in and that relate to me, so it’s something I know something about.
I also obtained a Certificate in Written Papers: General/Other in the following areas:

We won’t know which of these recipients have received a Muse Medallion until the awards ceremony in late October. CWA is full of amazing writers, photographers, and creatives, and the competition is fierce, so just earning a certificate is an honor.
