Firefighters use CPR to rescue dog from apartment fire

On Monday, September 16, firefighters from the Unified Fire Authority (UFA) extinguished the apartment fire and administered life-saving CPR to save the dog.

FOX 13 News Firefighters responded to a call about a fire at an apartment and found what appeared to be a cooking fire, the report said.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire but discovered an unresponsive dog inside a doghouse in the apartment.

Apparently, the dog was the only person in the home at the time the fire started.

Firefighters got the dog outside and began life-saving CPR, and the dog was revived.

Paramedics took the dog outside, began CPR and revived the dog. “Fire Company 110 had the wonderful opportunity today to rescue a dog from a fire.”

“Moments like this remind us how lucky we are to be able to protect not only our community but also our furry family members. We are grateful for the opportunity to save both human and animal lives.”

Additionally, FOX 13 Now reports that no one else was injured in the apartment fire because authorities said residents had left to go to the store.

Officials told FOX 13 News that damages to the structure could be up to $100,000 and residents have been forced to evacuate due to the fire.
