A heartbroken dog who seemingly lost all hope of finding a forever home is mending both his heart and his heart after being successfully adopted.
A TikTok account called @savethedogs; I posted a video Photo of a dog sitting in a corner on November 3rd.
The caption read: “Lex doesn’t come to greet people anymore because no one chooses him.”
Officials say the dog has been at the shelter for more than 1,000 days, no longer greets people and appears to have lost hope of finding a forever home.
@savethedogs added, “It was heartbreaking to see him…his spirit seems worn out.“
“It’s been a long time [that] His facial hair is starting to turn gray,” added the TikTok user.
The TikTok user added that Rex has been described as “unpredictable.” “But the first time I reached out to him, he gently sniffed my hand.” she reveals.

Rex’s video touched the hearts of many TikTok users. His video received over 74,000 likes and over 540,000 views.
And on November 9th, TikTok user @savethedog reveal After waiting for over a thousand days, Rex finally found his forever home.
TikTok users believe Rex was hired because his videos went viral on the social media platform.

@savethedogs revealed. “He’s been a rescue for almost three years! Not a single application! We dropped him off on Sunday and by Friday he was wrapped up in a blanket on his new couch with his new mom. I did.“
