Dog-goat duo reunited with owner after short adventure

An unlikely combination – a Great Pyrenees dog and a goat – was reunited with its owner after an adventurous journey in Grayson County, Texas on Wednesday, August 28.

Ketene The two were reportedly spotted by a neighbor walking together near the Whitemound Ward.

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office said the duo have been nicknamed “Milo” and “Otis,” after the cat and dog duo who strayed from a farm in the 1986 film “Milo and Otis.”

Before being reunited with his owner, the sheriff’s office Revealed, “We were able to corral them with kind residents while we wait for Grayson County Animal Control to take Milo (the dog), and Ottis (the goat) will be heading to a local farm for rescue.”

Locals were quick to react to the news of the pair’s separation, pointing out that separating the two would be particularly stressful for the Great Pyrenees.

One local resident wrote: “The dog and goat came to my house for two days, and once with a pony. The dog is very sweet, but doesn’t like to be left alone with the goat.”

“The GP is 1000% doing their job and taking them away would cause stress to the poor dog and goat.” another wrote.

However, thanks to the quick response of local residents, the two were not separated and police were able to track down and reunite the two with their owners.

“Grayson County truly is a great place to live. Our neighbors look out for one another and lend a hand when they need it most. Moments like this remind us how much people still care about others.” The sheriff’s office wrote:

In an interview with KTEN, Corporal Corey George revealed that the two had been walking around town together and having adventures for three days before someone called the sheriff’s office.

George revealed that responding to the report was a “strange call”. He said: “I’ve been in law enforcement for about 14 years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this. This is the first time.”

He also “There are lots of free-ranging cows, but not so many with dogs and goats. They were like best friends, inseparable.”
