Glo Natural Attractions Cat Litter Overview
Here’s an overview of Glo Natural Restaurants Clumping Clay Litter by Boxie, looking at the ingredients, how it works, cleaning features, and subscription options.
material
Each bag of Glo Natural Restaurants Clumping Clay Litter contains just four simple ingredients.
The first is premium clay sourced from the U.S. This ingredient is key to Glo’s superior cohesive strength.
The second ingredient is silica gel, which combines with a UV reflective coating to create the fun “glow” feature of this unique cat litter.
The final ingredient is an olfactory attractant that is used to help cats find the litter.
structure
This cat litter has three features that will encourage your cat to come to the litter box.
First and most unique is the use of UV crystals: these transparent shards are scattered throughout the clay cat litter, and while they may not seem like much to humans, they make a sparkling spectacle for your cat.
This is because cats can see light well in the ultraviolet spectrum. Scientists believe that cats developed this ability to help them hunt. It allows them to track movements more precisely, distinguish prey from the landscape, and even track animals using fluorescent urine trails. Because cats are attracted to ultraviolet light, they are more likely to examine this litter.
The second trick is to add an olfactory attractant, a scent that humans can’t detect but that acts like a megaphone to lure your cat in. Not only does it help your cat find the litter box, it also entices your cat to go in and experience the scents that instinctively attract them up close.
Finally, the soft, smooth feel of this cat litter is soothing to cats, as it is made to mimic the feel of North African litter, the home of the ancestors of domestic cats.
Cleaning function
The clay in this cat litter is selected and engineered to maximize its clumping abilities and natural odor absorbing properties.
It responds to moisture by expanding and hardening quickly to create a mass that locks in odors, and the litter won’t crumble when scooped, and just as importantly, it won’t stick to the walls of the litter box like other clay litters.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What does this litter look like to a cat?
Cats can see well in the ultraviolet spectrum, so the transparent crystals in this sand appear whitish-blue to them, and more importantly, these crystals emit a subtle fluorescence, a phenomenon that cats are attracted to because they use ultraviolet light to track their prey.
Does it have a scent?
No, this cat litter does not have a scent that humans can smell. It does contain an odor attractant that cats can detect, but this is not used to mask the smell of urine or feces.
Can this cat litter be used in an automatic litter box?
Yes, this cat litter has small granules and clumps easily, making it perfect for automatic cat litter boxes.
Boxie’s Glo Natural attractions Experience using cat litter
Luckily, my 1-year-old cat, Makoa, has never had a problem using the litter box. Still, I’ve been on a quest to find a better litter box. I recently switched to an automatic litter box, but my litter box still wasn’t doing enough to combat odors.
One problem is that the bin that holds used cat litter isn’t sealed, so even though it can hold up to 14 days’ worth of cat litter, the smell spreads quickly. Another problem is that the litter doesn’t clump, so you end up with lots of urine-soaked pieces of cat litter left in the bin between cleanings.
I thought Boxie’s Glo Natural attractions clumping clay cat litter might be the solution I needed, and I also hoped that glowing cat litter might be a fun way to stimulate Makoa, who is always looking for new experiences.
Upon opening the bag, Makoa was intrigued – in fact, he immediately stuck his head in the hole and lay on the bag as if it was his favorite place in the world. Once I got Makoa out of the way, I was able to place the Glo cat litter into the box and begin my test.
Makoa was enamored with the kitten and immediately jumped into the box to relieve himself — so quickly, in fact, that I couldn’t even get a photo for this review. It was clear that he was overjoyed by the kitten.
For my part, I am very happy with the settling quality of this product – the pieces that go in the bin are solid, and I have never noticed any small pieces floating around in the clean trash after the bin is automatically cleaned.
These two elements have also helped a lot with the odor issues I had with my previous cat litter. With Glo, I only have to clean the litter box once a week without having to deal with excessive odor issues.
We also love that it’s a low dust formula – keeping the surfaces and air around the litter box much cleaner.
I’ve been using this cat litter for over a week now and have no complaints.
The clay particles tend to stick a little better than the low-stick clay litter I used previously, which means a little more cleaning around the litter box throughout the week, but the fact that there’s barely any dust is worth it.
While the overall mess from the cat litter isn’t too bad, Makoa has taken to playing in the litter box every now and again. As you can imagine, this causes a pretty big mess. He hasn’t done this since he was a kitten, so I have to guess that the attractive UV light is what excites him.
This litter is a little more expensive than the budget brand I was using before, but it clumps well and keeps odors under control, so that’s not to say it’s not worth it, especially for cats with litter box issues and related health problems.
Overall, I am very happy with this cat litter and look forward to trying the other cat litter options Boxie offers.
