On October 19th, the animal shelter released a heart-wrenching photo of Thad, a 2-year-old staffy, staring with sad, longing eyes at the two puppies being picked up in the kennel next door. Posted the moment.

The video had an even more heart-wrenching closed caption that read: “As I watch all the puppies get adopted…and spend another night at the shelter…dreaming of a home.”

The video, which received over 260,000 responses on Facebook, went viral and hurt the hearts of many.

After Thad’s video went viral, the Humane Society of Broward County was happy to share on October 22nd that this cute little girl is finally getting the happiness she deserves.

“This sweet girl who won the hearts of so many people online has found her forever home.” the animal shelter excitedly shared.

The animal shelter shared that Thad’s journey to a loving forever home started with their family. “Reading Buddies” ProgramHere, children ages 6 to 16 can sit outside the shelter animals’ cages, read books to them, and give them treats.

During this program, Thad read books to two children. That’s when she met her new best friend and her forever family became one.

In addition to this, everyone gave thousands of views, likes and comments on her videos.

The animal shelter shared that this cute little girl was able to adjust to her new home quickly.

“She can finally rest knowing she’s home.” The Humane Society of Broward County wrote:

In early October, the animal shelter featured Sade and shared her story in an article. facebook reels. they wrote, “This sweet little girl was found as a stray dog, and at the time she was just skin and bones.”

The people who found her wanted to keep her, but they couldn’t. “They brought the dog to us because they knew they would be traveling too much to have a dog.” Shared by the Humane Society of Broward County.

The animal shelter described 2-year-old Thad as a “sweetheart.” they revealed, “She loves walks, people, attention, cuddles and being with you.

“Sade is good with children and cats, but he’s not very good with dogs. Thad gets scared when he raises his voice, so please take your time.”

Sadly, the heartbreaking moments Thad experienced are a reality for thousands of adult rescue dogs who are overlooked for puppies.

And while Sade now has a forever home, the Humane Society of Broward County still has many wonderful pets waiting for her happily ever after.
