He added that after the mother goat was taken for a walk inside the fire station, her two baby goats followed her to a safe location.

In addition, a neighbor was able to secure the dog that was accompanying the goat.

Once the animals were safely located, New Bedford Fire Department firefighters called Animal Control for help.

“The goat was kept in a fenced area behind the fire station until it was returned to its home a short distance from the 5th Precinct.” This was announced by the fire department.

“The gentlemen who worked with us at Engine 5 did a great job. You are the best!”

Some users found this incident amusing. one Facebook user wrote. “What a funny and great story to read first thing in the morning. Good luck to all the firefighters at Precinct 5!”

“The goats were just trying to get to the trick-or-treating as soon as possible to get the goodies.” 🤣 But I’m really glad that they were safe and did well and came back home. ” another person wrote.

The three goats were returned to their owners, but people wondered if the dog they were with was also returned to their owners.

This is because the fire department did not share updates on the animals’ safe return to their owners.
